Giddy-Up Cowboy

Last Saturday we took Riley to Thanksgiving Point to their animal barn. We asked Riley earlier that morning if he wanted to go see some animals. After asking us several times if he could ride and elephant, a rhino or a giraffe he decided that a pony ride would be OK too. The kid really has no fear

As Riley usually does, he made friends with this little boy, named Jack, over a conversation about goats, and what the goats were doing.
He got to go on 2 pony rides. Both of which times he rode the biggest pony they had, all the while saying Giddy-Up Cowboy and Yee Haw.

He really wasn't interested in stopping to pose for a picture. There were to many animals in need of his attention

We fed cows, and goats, lambs, horses and chickens There were even turkeys making all sorts of strange noises.

The white horse bit Mat's knuckle while he was feeding it. For some reason Riley thought this was funny.

This goat was not shy at all about getting fed. Riley loved that he got right up on the fence. He grabbed his horns and patted his head. At one point I turned around to take a picture of Mat and Riley and he got a whole mouth full of my hair. Must not have tasted to good, but he tried it more than once.

Other than it being windy we had a great time. The whole ride home all Riley could talk about was riding the pony and all the cool animals he saw. He even got a few new animals to add to his collection for being such a good boy. I am sure we will be visiting there again soon, because like most two year olds he does not forget a thing.

Bubbles, Bubbles, I Love Bubbles

Riley got a really cool bubble gun for Easter. We forgot he had it, so the other day when the weather was actually sort of nice outside we got it out. He was trying really hard to do it all by himself, but he could only push the trigger with the gun pointed at his head. The bubbles would come flying at his face and he would laugh
He finally decided that he would let me take a turn so he could chase the bubbles. The wind kept changing direction so sometimes they would blow right at him.
When they would land on the grass he would get right down there so her could pop them. He liked it when many bubbles got stuck together and made funny shapes.
I thought this picture was cute. Arms up, eyes closed and just enjoying the bubbles popping on his face. Oh to be 2 again.

Tubby Time

One of Riley's most favorite things in the world is to have a bath (I know he is so my kid Ü) His new favorite thing is bubbles. He loves to put them on his head and on his face. I told him it made him look like he had whiskers like daddy. He thought that was pretty cool.
He also has to put every toy imaginable in the tub with him. He has an assortment of animals that must be a included with every bath, such as an elephant, a zebra, a giraffe, tigers, lions, and usually several horses. He also has tub toys from the movie "Cars" which are an essential part of tub time.
You can tell by the happy face that this is truly one of his favorite places to be.....if nothing else he is an extremely clean child.

Rileys New Slide

Riley got a new slide at our house and we can hardly keep him off of it. The weather has still been a little cold and rainy so he gets a quite upset when we can't go outside and play.

The night we got the slide it was already dark outside, but he was determined he was going to play on it right that second. So we relented and let him take a few trips down the slide. He threw a huge fit when we finally made him come in, and his little hand and cheeks were so cold, but he didn't care

Riley's Elephant Ride

About a month ago the circus came to town. Grandma Teri noticed that at the circus they would have elephant rides. Now any of you that know Riley, know that he is obsessed with elephants. We have a small heard of elephant toys at our house. So Mat and I and Grandma Teri made the trip to the Circus with Riley so he could ride on an elephant. He was so excited.

We only had one small problem. One ride on the elephant was not enough for Riley. So guess who got a turn to ride on the elephant.......ME!!! Now I am not afraid of heights, but it was nearly impossible to hold yourself on to the elephant, not to mention hold on to your kid. If I never ride another elephant it will be to soon. But Riley loved every minte of it so it was worth it. He still talks about it, and asks if he can go ride the elephant again. It was the best $50.00 we ever spent. ( and that didn't even include the ticket prices)
They also had a small area set up where you could feed the animals. There were goats and an Alpaca. Ry wasn't to sure about them eating out of his hands, but he would laugh and throw the food on the ground for them to pick up. All in all we had quite a good time.

Check out my Slide Show!

Here are some pictures from our trip to Vegas in December.

My weekend get-away

Me and my dear friend Kelly went off on a weekend adventure to St George. (this is an old picture as I am dumb and forgot my camera) We had a fabulous time searching Snow Canyon for turtles, laying by the pool, shopping, eating, and just spending some quality girl time together. It was wonderful.

Riley was super excited when I got home, but only because he got some new trucks that look like scoop on his new favorite show (Bob the Builder) and he got a shirt with an elephant on it. Really what more could you ask for!!

Riley's 2nd Birthday

It has been forever since I have posted. Riley turned 2 in December. He insisted on telling everyone he was two while he was 1 and now he tells everyone he is 1 now that he is two. He had a really great Birthday and got lots of fun toys and cute clothes. The grandma's and grandpa's spoil him to death. Not to mention the aunts, uncles cousins and friends. He is a loved little boy.
